Our club has recently acquired a building in Blissfield (just northwest of
Toledo, OH) where we are currently working on a 34' x 70' double deck HO layout
with a coal/steel theme. The layout will represent trackage from West Virginia
north to steel country. The club is currently interested in new members, but is
limited to 30 persons. We will have 4 continuous loops, or be able to operate
from a large yard, up through the mountains (with a bridge over 80" high)
to another yard, a run of 2 - 4 hours if operated prototypically.
Meetings: Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm, and on Saturday at 10:00 am. Visitors
are welcome.

The Detroit Model Railroad Club was founded in January, 1935 as an off-shoot of The Detroit Society of Model Engineers. The Detroit Union Railroad is the basis for our freelance theme with connections with the various railroads which served the Detroit area in 1957. The narrow gage will depict eastern type narrow gage. We have 35 active members and a number of associate members. Calling the old Holly theater our home, we feel that being in an old theater creates a unique atmosphere for model railroading. Being the largest model railroad in the State of Michigan brings people in from many areas. We use digitalcommand control and sound.
Meetings: Tuesday nights from 7PM to 10PM to work on the layout and have Open Houses for the public on certain weekends. We have about 40 active and 60 associate members and new members are welcome.

Ford Model Railroad Club (FMRC)......... Scale: HO and O. | Go To Top | MichiganRailroads.com
The FMRC was created by Ford Employees sharing an interest in model railroading. We have a large modular layout that combines HO scale with O gauge trains. The goal of the club is to have an excellent operating layout that demonstrates the members' interests in both scales. We currently have about 40 members and are looking for more people to join our club. We strongly encourage Ford employees and retirees to join but welcome people from outside of the Ford Motor Company family. We also encourage members to build modules to display their talents and develop their skills in the art of model railroading. The club meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month in the Research and Engineering Building on Oakwood Blvd. south of Michigan Ave. in Dearborn. The meetings start promptly at 6:00 pm. We invite you to come and see what the club is about. For more info call (248) 347-6878 or e-mail mjswan35@hotmail.com
