Walled Lake, Michigan.

Coe Rail Depot at 840 North Pontiac Trail;  248-960-9440; www.michiganstarclipper.com

The long-running operation serves five-course meals offering a choice among four entrees that change monthly.  Three-hour runs every Tuesday through Thursday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m.  Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 5:00 p.m. as well as various afternoon lunch departures, especially in fall color season.

Entertainment accompanies each dinner train and many lunch trains.  With two restored sleeping cars coupled to the unique ex-PRR "Keystone" depressed-center passenger cars, the Michigan Star Clipper is the nation's only dinner train bed and breakfast (Saturday nights only).
