Description:

Lake State Railway Alco 469, a former Detroit & Mackinac Ry. locomotive, works at the LSRC yard at Alpena Jct.  The 469 has been in continuous service since 1946, making it 58 years old and one one of the longest running diesel-electric locomotives still operating today.  The unit has been repainted 3-4 times over it's life.  July, 2004
