Description:

CSX 9248, a remote unit, leads the local on the West Detroit branch near Oakman Blvd.  This was the original Detroit, Howell &Lansing main line to downtown Detroit which was built in 1874.  The DH&L used the Michigan Central Depot at Third Street on the water front and connected with the MC at West Detroit tower.
