Description:

Escanaba & Lake Superior 600 arrives in Ontonagon with loads for the paper plant.  Conductor Bunce notes that the 600 rides best of all their locomotives and the engine is a "smooth runner".  E&LS usually keeps the 600 south of Channing because it has passenger gearing and the hills on the O&B are hard on traction motors.  June, 2005.
