You can now take MichiganRailroads.com mobile when you go train watching! All it requires is a handheld Palm or Microsoft CE hand held device and a way to sync the device with the web.

We have created special pages for these devices with useful information that you can use "on the road". Frequencies, defect detectors, Amtrak schedules and more.

If you own a Palm (or compatible) unit, you can download this information two ways. The most inexpensive way is through Avantgo.com. Visit this site and download a Palm-compatible "web browser" onto your handheld (it will install on your next sync). Then set up the web channels (pages/sites) you want to download every time you sync. To sync MichiganRailroads.com special pages, create a channel called: http://www.michiganrailroads.com/Mobile.htm. Set your loading depth to 5.

Another way is to purchase a Palm VII wireless unit, or add on an Omnisky Wireless modem to your other Palm or Handspring units. With the wireless feature, you can read web pages directly off the net.
