Interlocking/control tower next to bridge still exists.

The bridge was originally used on the branch line between Port Huron and Saginaw, via Bad Axe.  That line was abandoned south of Croswell in 1971.  For the next few years, the railroad used the bridge to reach industry north of the river.  The bridge was abandoned in the mid-1970's.
