A Sanborn Map view of the Peninsular Car Works along the Detroit riverfront near Brush Street Station, circa 1880.  This may have been the original location of Peninsular Car Works, who later built a major operation near Milwaukee Junction in 1885.  Peninsular was a large rail car manufacturer.
