This is the coaling dock at Durand, Michigan, owned and operated by the Grand Trunk Western Railroad.  It was located in their yard near the roundhouse, about 1/4 mile north of Union Station.  The dock was built in August, 1886.  This photo was taken in August, 1986.  The coal tower still stands today in 2002.
