Located on the property
extending south of the Cleveland Location at the Lake Angeline north
shoreline at the east end. This was one of three mines that
evengually drained Lake Angeline (the others being the Lake Angeline
East End Mine and the Lake Superior Hematite mine. The mine
ore was described as "blue ore, in iron content, the richest type
found on the range". In April 1892, new skips were installed
with the ability to hold three tons. In 1892 Lake Angeline was
drained fully by the end of the year. The engine house was
torn down in 1960. [EHMT]

In 1897, this mine began
operating using an open pit, but shaft mining may have still been
employed. [EHMT]
