Michigan Central
7707 leads an eastbound freight at Rives Junction, Michigan.
The train, which probably originated in Grand Rapids, has stopped
for orders and a photo (left to right) of the brakeman, engineer,
conductor and fireman (up top). Rives Junction is located about 10 miles north
of Jackson. In addition to the Grand Rapids Branch, trains
proceeded north to Lansing, Saginaw and Bay City from this location.
Note the interurban railroad overpass behind the depot. This
photo is circa 1910.
