This is an old, poor quality photo of a 0-4-0T tank locomotive, pulling a string of logging cars through the woods near Farwell, Michigan.  It is a good example of how logging interests would easily create trestles to get their logs to the mill.  Most of these trestles were later pulled up and the wood reused or sent to the mill.  Some may have been filled in to create permanent embankments.
