Central's Jackson Depot in the mid-1930's. The short train
on the siding appears to be No. 44 which has arrived from Grand
Rapids. The train on the eastbound main is probably No.
108 which is headed west towards Chicago. The tracks on
the left are the freight main and the beginning of the original
Jackson yard. The signal tower in the distance is at the
Pearl Street interlocking, which controlled the branches north
to Grand Rapids and Saginaw, the main line crossovers, and the
