New York
Central 4517 leads a steam locomotive on the front of a
westbound passenger train at the Jackson depot. The 4517
appears to be a Fairbanks Morse passenger C-liner with a B-A1A
wheel arrangement and 2,000 hp. This lashup of power must
have left railfans (and railroaders) wondering. Wasn't the
NYC's Michigan Division a wonderful and interesting railroad in
it's day? Photo from the 1950's. [Doug Leffler
