A way car brings up the rear of a PC Coal Train

This 21000 series way car brings up the rear of a Penn Central coal train on their Rives Junction to Saginaw Branch, passing over the grade crossing at Henderson, Michigan north of Owosso.  These Bay City-bound coal trains used the former Detroit-Bay City line until that route became too fragile for the tonnage of coal.  Trains were rerouted from Toledo over the former Ann Arbor Railroad to Owosso and on up the Saginaw Branch.  A portion of this branch line through Henderson continues to be operated by TSBY.  This photograph is from around 1970.
