Mershon
Tower stood guard at the north entrance to the Saginaw Terminal.
Officially, this was an interlocking tower which controlled the
C&O's Ludington Subdivision crossing of the New York Central and
Grand Trunk Western lines north to Bay City. The C&O also
crossed its own line to reach industry on the west side of the
Saginaw River. This photo is facing north, and the C&O
3714 is returning from the elevators north of town.
