Grand Trunk Western 4542, pulls the PO&N local past the Pere Marquette crossing and Union Station at Pigeon, Michigan, in Huron County in 1972.  The GTW served Pigeon and the thumb until 1984 when the line was removed.  A short stretch of the branch north from Pigeon still exists to serve industry and is switched by the Huron & Eastern Railway.  [Charlie Whipp]
