A derailment on the Michigan Central in Albion

A early 1900's derailment almost takes out Tower A in Albion, Michigan.  The steam-powered derrick begins rerailing the cars under the smokey but watchful eye of the tower operator.  The bridge overhead is for the interurban line.  Note all of the bystanders on top of the cars and bridge.  [T. J. Gaffney Collection]
