The New York
Central Coach Yard job switches a passenger train consist on the
westbound main track in front of the Jackson depot in the 1950's.
The depot's Coach Yard job handled the interchange of branch line
passenger cars with main line trains bound for Detroit and Chicago.
At one time, six MC and NYC branch lines fanned out from Jackson,
all with connecting passenger trains.
