C&O 1617 switches between trains at Walbridge.

 

Chesapeake & Ohio 1617 at Walbridge Yard near Toledo, Ohio in 1950.  This C&O Allegheny 2-6-6-6 locomotive was one of the largest in the U.S.  The locomotive and tender had a combined weight of 1.2 million pounds.  The locomotive drivers were 67" tall and the tender carried 25,000 gallons of water and 25 tons of coal.
