Jackson,
Michigan was one of the New York Central's major locomotive
maintenance facilities. As a result, it was a popular
place for locomotive manufacturers to show off their latest
offerings. In the early 1950's, ALCO-GE brought a new
PA-1/PB-1 set to Jackson for a look by railroad officials and
the general public. The three photos show the passenger
engines (lead by the 6375) on the track along side Liberty
Street, near what is now the NS maintenance-of-way facility.
