A Union Pacific Streamliner visits Jackson

A Union Pacific "Streamliner" makes its way westbound through Jackson, Michigan on the New York Central's Michigan Central main line.  In the top photo, the front of the train passes under the signal bridge at Michigan Avenue.  The rounded tail of the train is apparent in the bottom photo at Columbus Street.  Pearl Street interlocking tower is down the line on the left.  March, 1934.  This short train may have been the first "streamliner" in America.
