Amtrak's Turboliner in action in Michigan

Shortly after Amtrak took over passenger operations from the railroads, they operated Turboliner Trains on the water-level route.  Pictures at the left are two photos.  The first is Amtrak 58 at the Michigan Central depot in Detroit in the mid-1970's.  [Paul Chapoton]  The second photo is of Amtrak 65 at the Jackson passenger depot.  Next to the passenger train is a Penn Central F-Unit pulling a freight westbound on the freight main out of the yard.  [Doug Leffler]
