The Erie and Michigan Railway was a
very short railroad which carried more than it's share of
tonnage. It ran from the Alabaster Gypsum quarry south of
Tawas City, north to a junction with the Detroit & Mackinac
Railway (at Alabaster Junction). The railroad was closely
associated with the D&M, and was ultimately sold to the
D&M in the 1940's.
