Above and below, two shots of the Hemlock Central Railroad.  The top photo is of Engine No. 1 near Harbor Springs.  The bottom photo is of a train heading into the woods.  The Hemlock Central was a 30" gauge logging road which started in Harbor Springs and ran northwest into the woods for about eight miles.  The bottom photo is an excursion train from the same collection... probably from the Hemlock Central as well.  [Library of Congress photos].
