Grosvenor

Grosvenor Road, 1 mile N of US-223

Remains of the former NYC Fayette Branch.  This location was originally a crossing of the Old Road by the Canada Southern, then it became a wye junction when the line was cut back to a branch.

Vision... The Morenci local, which ran with a few cars every day from Adrian and onto the branch at Grosvenor and returned later that day.  Usually powered by a switch engine.

Holloway Depot

Rogers Highway at the NS (former Wabash) line, 1/2 mile S of Hollaway Road.

The Holloway depot has been moved here and is now a private residence.

Vision... Getting on the EB passenger train for a fast ride into downtown Detroit's Fort Street Union Station and shopping at Hudson's.

Hudson

Rogers Highway at the NS (former Wabash) line, 1/2 mile S of Hollaway Road.

Remains of the bridge abutment which carried the NYC "Old Road" over the top of the Big Four/Cincinnati Northern Jackson Branch.

Vision...  Cattle farmers loading animals into the stock pens, for shipment south on the CN/Big Four.

Lenawee Jct.

Deerfield Road, 1 mile W of Rogers Highway.

Diamond crossing of the Jackson Branch and the Monroe Branch (now gone).  Probably the 1st rail crossing in the State of Michigan, the diamond was installed in 1840l. Diamond is still there, though not the original.

Vision... local farmers bringing wood from the forests to the railroad to sell to them for locomotive fuel.

Raisin Center

Raisin Center Road at the NS (Wabash) main line, northeast of Adrian.

Remnants of the former NYC Jackson Branch crossing of the Wabash main line.  The Jackson branch stubs up to the NS right-of-way on both sides.

Vision... watching the WB Wabash Cannonball banging over the diamond as it slows in preparation for its stop at Adrian.
