The Michigan Central Railroad roundhouse #1 at Livernois Yard in Detroit.  This photograph is from July, 1976.  The roundhouse was destroyed by fire in 1978.  [Charlie Whipp]  Below, a 1949 overhead view of the roundhouses at Livernois Yard.  Livernois Avenue is on the right side of this photo and the NYC main line is just out of view on the top.  [Detroit Edison photo, Wayne State University collection]
