Above, a 2004 photo of the back of the roundhouse.  Parked on a lead is a wooden Russell Plow, originally the Pere Marquette SP-20.  It survives with C&O 914022 reporting marks.  It is no longer active.  It was brought to Manistee to be turned over to a preservation group, but that arrangement has fallen through.  Below, the inside of the roundhouse in 2004.  Two of the leads still exist to stalls and two have been removed.  The two existing leads are used regularly by CSX crews to make repairs to cars and locomotives.  In the event of a major repair, maintenance crews are brought up from Grand Rapids to work here on the local engine.  June, 2004.  [Nathan Nietering photos].
