Bob Thatcher from the Bluewater Chapter, NRHS reports:  The former Pere Marquette turntable in New Buffalo was purchased in 2000 by the Michigan State Trust for Railway Preservation (owner/operator of ex-PM #1225) and moved to Owosso.  It is sitting on the ground there while the Trust engages in raising funds for the purchase of property from T&SB and eventual construction of a new roundhouse/museum and turntable pit.  Also, since the New Buffalo turntable was only 90 feet in diameter, the bridge will have to be lengthened in order to accommodate the #1225.
