Railroad: Escanaba & Lake Superior Railroad
Construction Type: Poured concrete walls.
Engine Stalls: Originally 8, now 6 (2003)  2 middle stalls converted to parts storage
Turntable Length: There was no turntable at this roundhouse.  A wye is used for turning locomotives.  A 2nd wye was located on the Escanaba Branch east of Stephenson Avenue, behind Chatfield's Machine.  It is still buried there under Coplins Scrap Yard.
Built: Unknown
Torn Down: Still standing and in use.
Notes: Active stalls all have original steam locomotive pits with steam heat in them.  Received a new roof in 2001.  The building to the right rear is the old machine shop and it has a drop pit for steam locomotives.  The coaling tower for steamers was located behind the left shoulder of the photographer.
