Two depots in Iron
Mountain. (Top) The former Milwaukee Road depot, now along
the Escanaba & Lake Superior, still has its semaphore block signals in
place as of January, 2003. Below, a building which has
been converted to a business is the Wisconsin and Michigan freight
house. It is located near the MILW depot. The W&M used the
MILW station for their passenger trains. [Dale Berry photo,

Above, an old photograph of
the Milwaukee Road freight house in Iron Mountain. This depot
stood east of the passenger station across C Street. The freight
house was the original MILW passenger station. It was torn down
sometime in the 1970's. [Information from Greg Bunce]
