The C&O Depot at Kinde, Michigan  [Ron Hageimister photo, Jim Slater Collection].  The photo below, taken in 2002, shows the north end of the track, which ends at the state highway.  At one time, this Pere Marquette branch line went all the way north to Port Austin and Grindstone City on Lake Huron.  The depot is now gone.  [Dale Berry]
Left, a Pere Marquette passenger ticket agent stub related to passage from Kinde north to Grindstone City (near the end of the line at the tip of "the mitt".  The ticket appears to be for a clergyman.  The cost of passage was 25 cents.  The date of the stub is not known.  Click here for Grindstone City.
