Addison Junction was the crossing of the Detroit, Toledo & Milwaukee (east and west) and the Cincinnati Northern (later Big Four, NYC, Penn Central and Conrail). Addison Junction's station call was "JN" and it originally had a passing track on the CN of 18 cars, which was expanded later to hold 65 car lengths. There was a water tank for locomotive water, and an interchange track. In 1923, 1,619a cars were interchanged back and forth. Addison Jct. also had an elevator with a 1,000 bushel capacity which was owned by Addison Milling Company. Addison Junction was the northern terminus of the Cincinnati Northern until 1895 when the line was extended to Jackson. The depot, which was on the northwest corner of the crossing, was burned down in the late 1910's. A freight depot also stood in the northeast corner. [HCN]
