Hallett Tower is
located on the north side of Toledo. It is the crossing of the
Ann Arbor Railroad and the Toledo Terminal (CSX). The tower,
operated by Ann Arbor, acts as the dispatching office for the Ann
Arbor Railroad north to just north of Ann Arbor and the branch from
Pittsfield Jct. to Saline. This tower is unusual because it is
covered by sheet metal.
In this photo, the
Norfolk & Western is taking a train past Hallett on the Ann Arbor RR.
It will go north to Milan, Michigan using trackage rights gained
during Wabash ownership.
