Fiborn Junction was a station on the Duluth, South Shore and Atlantic Railroad, north of Trout Lake.  At this point, a three mile branch left the main line south to Fiborn Limestone Quarry.  The Quarry ceased to operate in the early 1930's.
  • (33.7 miles from St. Ignace dock).  Junction with the DSS&A Fiborn Quarry Branch.  There was a station at Fiborn Junction and two sidings - one to hold ore cars loaded with limestone what were headed for Algoma Corporation in sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and the other to hold empty ore cars to be taken back to Firborn Quarry.  [CB/MIHX8]
