Above, the CSX depot at
Evart, Michigan. The signal in front of the station controls the
entrance to the controlled siding on the Saginaw to Ludington main line.
This photo was taken in July, 1986. The tracks are now gone and
the depot is used by community groups. The roadbed is now used as
a trail. [Charlie Whipp] Below, an older view of the Evart
depot with an arriving passenger train. The signal mast in front
of the depot, which held and block/train order signal, was larger than
