Mershon Interlocking tower,
and the crossing of the Michigan Central, Grand Trunk Western, and
Pere Marquette. Today, the tower is gone, the Pere Marquette is
now the CSX, the Michigan Central is now the Central Michigan, and the
Grand Trunk Western no longer exists. This tower was of a unique
shape and was located between the main lines of the MC and GTW.
This photograph was taken in February, 1983. The tower was moved
in 1987 to the Saginaw Railroad Museum on Maple Street and is being
preserved and restored. [Photo from Charlie Whipp Info
