The PRR tower at Walbridge. The interlocking plant in this tower was a pneumatic system, which was operated by air. This was a common plant-type on the Pennsylvania at the point in time in which it was built. The tracks near the tower had silver pipes nearby, which fed the air to the switches. The compressor was located in the tower. Top of page. |
