Lapeer Tower Interlocking controlled the crossing of the New York Central System Detroit to Bay City line, and the Grand Trunk Western main line from Port Huron to Chicago. In addition to controlling the crossing, the operator also acted as a block operator for the NYC line. The operator logged in 6 trains in each direction by the tower, as well as 3 switching or inspection movements in the block limits in each direction.
