The Palmyra & Jacksonburg Railroad
sells their road from Palmyra to Tecumseh to the State of Michigan.
The state united it with the southern road, calling it the Tecumseh
branch. [LS]

The Central line's extension
from the depot at Michigan and Woodward to the river wharf is
abandoned due to little use. [HWC]

Wells and Company
establishes a freight express office in Marshall, one of the first
such offices in Michigan. [AAD]
