  • The production of iron ore on the Gogebic Iron Range begins to steadily decline in the 1920's.  In the 1920's, 9 million tons of ore per year is shipped from this range through the Soo Line ore dock and the three C&NW ore docks at Ashland, Wisconsin.  [LSIOR]
