Port of Elberta

The Port of Elberta (at Frankfort) is located on Lake Michigan 30 miles north of Manistee in Benzie County. Elberta was the location of the Ann Arbor Railroad car ferry docks which carried railroad cars to and from Gladsone, Manistique and Menomnibnee,, as well as Wisconsin ports of Kewanuee and Manitowoc.
