Port of Marquette

The Port of Marquette is located on the south shore of Lake Superior in Marquette County, about 100 miles west of Sault Ste. Marie. In earlier years, this port shipped out iron ore and received coal. Today, the port remains for recreational water craft with ore and coal operations now handled by the Port of Presque Isle about three miles north of downtown Marquette.
