Port of Manistique

The Port of Manistique is located on the northern shore of Lake Michigan about forty miles east of Escanaba. This port shipped out forest products and received coal. It was also the location of a railroad car ferry operation from received and dispatched railroad freight cars to and from Northport and Elberta which lasted until the 1960's.
