The 2005 Annual Meeting of the Society is set for Saturday, September 24th, 2005 from 10:00am to 3:00pm at the Great Lakes Inn, 817 East State Street, Cheboygan, Michigan. 

9:30 a.m.     Registration opens (Continental breakfast)

10:00 a.m.   Exhibits open

11:00 a.m.   Call to order, welcome and announcements

12:00 noon  Business Meeting (election of officers, financial report, old/new business and open discussion).

12:30 p.m.   Lunch and exhibits (Buffet style with soup, salad, assorted breads, meats and cheese)

1:00 p.m.     Special (to be announced)

3:00 p.m.     Adjourn until next year.

Cost is $20 per person, including luncheon.  Send payment to Detroit & Mackinac Rwy. Historical Society, 305 S. McLellan Street, Bay City, MI  48708.  Include:

Directions to the meeting in Cheboygan:

• From downstate:  NB I-75 to theM-27 Exit 313, toward Topinabee/Cheboygan.  Turn right on M-27/N. Straits Highway.  Go 16.1 miles.  Continue to follow M-27.  Turn right onto W. State Street/US-23.  Go 0.06 miles.

• From the U.P.:  SB I-75 across the Mackinac Bridge, take the county road C-66 exit 326 towards Cheboygan/Cross Village.  Turn left onto C-66/Levering Road.  Continue to follow Levering Road 6.9 miles.  Leverying Road becomes W. State Street.  Go 1.7 miles and the Great Lakes Grill is located at 817 E. State Street.
