Interlocking: Battle Creek, MI - Main Street Tower
Main Street interlocking tower was located in Battle Creek along Main Street, between Barney and Tompkins. The tower controlled the Michigan Central's main line and the crossing of the electric street railway on Main Street. The tower was a "arm-strong" interlocking, with 4 levers for signals and 2 levers for derails (on the electric line). This type of interlocking is known as a "half" interlocking.
