Detroit Connecting Railroad, Inc.
CN (Grand Trunk) → Detroit Connecting → still operating
Purchased: 1998 [BBG]
The Detroit Connecting Railroad operates the former CN/Grand Trunk Western line south of Milwaukee Junction. This was the original historic Detroit & Milwaukee railroad line (later GTW) from Brush Street Station to Grand Haven via Durand and Grand Rapids. After the Rennisance Center was built on the property of Brush Street station, this line was truncated north. The railroad, known as the DCON, serves several industrial customers in the Milwaukee Junction area.
As of 2016, the DCON is a subsidiary of the Adrian & Blissfield Rail Road Company according to Bloomberg.com.
