Railroad: Michigan, Midland and Canada Railroad Company

The predecessor to this line (Michigan Midland) was created to build a railroad from St. Clair to Lansing, and later to Holland. The company never built, but reorganized as the MM&C in 1872. The line was built from St. Clair to Ridgeway in 1873. An operating agreement was created with the Canada Southern and by 1882 they controlled the line. Under foreclosure, the line was acquired by the St. Clair & Western.
