This line was built in 1901 from the Port Huron Salt Company to Pere Marquette Junction. It was extended in 1902 and 1903 to a total of 3.24 miles. The company had 0.64 miles of sidings and spurs and was standard gauge. The company owned one locomotive. In 1903, the company had 7 stockholders, mostly from the Port Huron area.
