Railroad: Southern Michigan Railroad Society, The

This is the old Jackson branch which ran from Lenawee Junction to Jackson, via Tecumseh and Clinton. The line earlier was abandoned north of Clinton to a steel mill south of Jackson. The line eventually came under Penn Central control which decided to abandon it in its entirety. Soon after the abandonment, the Norfolk & Western railroad removed the interlocked crossing at Raisin Center, cutting the line off from any railroad interchange.
